Locate Now allows customers to see the last reported location of the Ikon device installed in the vehicle. The dealer/customer can perform vehicle locate requests via a mobile phone application or online web account (listed above).
Location information appears in an easy-to-follow screen online or in the phone app. The vehicle’s location is then identified as a pin on Google Maps, choosing satellite, street, or hybrid views. Additional information will detail the vehicle year/make/model, battery condition, GPS latitude and longitude, speed alerts, date/time stamp, street, city, zip code, and last network access.
The dealer/customer may refresh the vehicle location data by simply clicking the “Locate Now” button again. This can be useful if the customer needs to know the vehicle's current location immediately. This helps dealers in locating a car quickly that a customer wishes to test drive or look at. Customers have walked away if they can’t get to see a certain car right away.
